Hong Kong Science Park

This project helped elevate a cluster of buildings within the innovative incubation zone of Sha Tin’s Hong Kong Science and Technology Park, by offering an integrated smart building control panel, food ordering service, visitor pre-registration, car park management and other necessary functions befitting a tech-focused workplace. Navigating a complex network of entry controls by different vendors such as building access, turnstile, elevators and cybersecurity, we leveraged our expertise in IoT technologies to create a streamlined smart building infrastructure from the ground up — propelling traditional systems of work into the digital era.

Smart Building System Integration

We helped elevate the tech-focused workplace at Hong Kong Science and Technology Park with an integrated smart building system that offered services such as automated lift-calling, visitor access QR code pre-registration, integrated carpark management system, way-finding, and a food-ordering service for employees.

Pioneering Solutions

Hong Kong at the time lacked such smart building implementation, and this project where we integrated a mobile app into building management was completely novel at the time. This project demonstrated the digital transformation of traditional systems to deliver brand-new user experiences.

Complexity of Coordination

What started as a building construction project led to IoT integration, which involved complex coordination among different sub-system vendors, to ensure seamlessness in terms of scheduling, cybersecurity, and compatibility.

Set a New Precedent

This smart building project and its multi-system connection gave us insight and a base skeleton to solve global challenges and needs in the workplaces of the future, as well as create tailor-made user journeys. It set a precedent for creating smart buildings in further contexts.
