Designed to educate young ones at Ocean Park about nature, STEAM, and to instil asense of adventure and play, the family-friendly'Explorer R' attraction involvedcountless technological innovations.RFlD wristbands, interactive screens, 3D avatarcreation and simulations projected on the wall, as well as a gamifed way to exploreisland habitats in real time- such innovations centred on UWB technology wereonly made possible with ourtechnological infrastructure.
Using groundbreaking technology to appeal to all senses, our involvement in this project helped elevate Ocean Park’s educational attractions, tailoring it for the digital native generation of young ones.
We were the first mover for UWB adoption in Hong Kong, especially for a STEAM scenario, which demonstrated that such interactive exhibition technology can be used for other events to enhance participant engagement, from a live-streamed performance to a virtual reality game, AI chatbots and more.
Backed by tracking technology, data on participant engagement and usage is naturally recordable and measurable, providing valuable insights. Through artificial intelligence, we are able to process such data and offer detailed analytics for further improved experiences that audiences will love.
With a whole new digital display and eye-catching 3D scenic elements, the full experience was not only interactive, but provided a memorable backdrop for families to snap photos of their experience together — no doubt increasing word-of-mouth and anecdotal promotion of such experiences to their friends and family.
